The road to Sri Lanka 2026 continues with the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifier taking place in Tanzania from 2 to 8 August.
Dar Gymkhana and the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) will be the venues where Tanzania will host Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sierra Leone in 16 matches over eight days, where three teams will progress to the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup Africa Qualifier in 2025.
Group A is made up of Botswana, Malawi, Rwanda and Sierra Leone. Group B will see Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria and Tanzania go up against each other.
Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) Chairman, Dr B.S. Sreekumar said: “I am excited and honored as we gear up to host the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifier. I am immensely thankful to the ICC for considering Tanzania worthy of conducting this tournament.
“We welcome the participating teams and officials to our beautiful city, Dar es Salaam, which means ‘haven of peace’.
“I wish to recognize with gratitude the support of the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Council and the dedication of my fellow board members, staff at TCA and the cricket lovers in Tanzania, who have all made the hosting of this tournament possible.
