Abu Dhabi
A supreme bowling effort from Sri Lankan international Binura Fernando and South African speedster Tymal Mills set up the UP Nawabs for their third straight win in Abu Dhabi T10 on Wednesday at Zayed Cricket Stadium. Fernando started the attack, and picked up two wickets for just 10 runs in his 2 overs, as he dismantled the opposition’s top order.
Meanwhile, the left-arm speedster Tymal took care of things in the death overs, picking up two wickets as well with just 11 runs in his two overs. The duo restricted the defending Champions New York Strikers to just 74/6 in 10 overs.
In chase, Rahmanullah Gurbaz continued his roaring form with the bat, scoring 31* runs in 21 balls to help his side chase down the total in just 6.1 overs. Andre Fletcher played the supporting role with the bat, smashing 18* runs in 6 balls as the Nawabs scripted a solid 9-wicket win.
