Dubai: The first match of the day at the Pro Cricket League saw the Ghaziabad Bhawani Tigers take on the Gurugram Patriots. Winning the toss, the Bhawani Tigers elected to field first, a decision that paid immediate dividends. Shahbaz Nadeem wreaked havoc with the new ball, claiming 2 wickets in the very first over, leaving the Patriots in early trouble.

The Patriots struggled to recover, losing 3 wickets during the powerplay. Harpreet Singh Sunny and Sami Shinwari attempted to stabilize the innings, scoring 44 and an unbeaten 46 runs respectively. However, their efforts were not enough to propel the Patriots to a competitive total, as they finished their innings at 141/6 after 20 overs.

In response, the Bhawani Tigers made steady progress, with Sanjeev Adhana contributing 37 runs and Peter Trego adding 43 runs. Amit Nagar’s calm innings of 32 not out off 26 balls ensured that the Tigers chased down the target comfortably with 3 overs to spare, securing a 5-wicket victory. Shahbaz Nadeem was named Man of the Match for his exceptional bowling figures of 4 overs, 1 maiden, 15 runs, and 3 wickets.

Game 2 – Rajasthan Kings Overcome Noida Eagles by 4 Wickets

The second match featured the Noida Eagles facing the Rajasthan Kings. The Eagles won the toss and chose to bat first, making a solid start as opener Ankit Narwal scored a brilliant 74 runs off 49 balls, hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes. However, it was Sudhanshu Solanki’s explosive innings that stole the spotlight, as he smashed 93 runs off just 45 balls, including 10 sixes and 4 fours. This powerful performance helped the Eagles post a challenging total of 208/5.

In response, the Kings needed to chase down the target and started strong, with Saket Sharma continuing his fine form by scoring 61 runs off 31 balls. However, they found themselves in trouble at 132 for 6, needing 77 runs from just 31 balls. In a thrilling turnaround, Rajat Singh and Subodh Bhati formed a vital partnership, with Rajat scoring a well-crafted 54 off 35 balls, while Subodh unleashed an aggressive 38 off just 12 balls, including 5 sixes.

Their partnership propelled the Kings to victory, chasing down the target with one over to spare, winning by 4 wickets. The day concluded with high drama and exceptional performances, highlighting the competitive spirit of the Pro Cricket League.
