Abu Dhabi: Royal Champs have officially announced celebrated all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan as their captain for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025 season. The franchise’s announcement reflects its strong faith in Shakib’s proven leadership, tactical acumen, and dynamic all-round skills—qualities that perfectly align with the Royal Champs’ vision of making a mark in their debut campaign.

As an ambitious new entrant to the league, the Royal Champs promise a spirited blend of seasoned professionals and emerging talent. United by purpose and passion, the team is eager to deliver bold, high-energy performances as they begin their maiden journey. The squad will face Vista Riders in their opening match on November 19, 2025, at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Shakib Al Hasan said,
“It’s an honour to lead Royal Champs. I’m excited to work with such a talented squad and coaching staff. Together, we’ll chase excellence both on and off the field and give fans a thrilling, competitive season. Being newcomers, our energy and eagerness to showcase what we can achieve will be immense.”

Head Coach Sir Courtney Walsh echoed the sentiment, adding,
“We’ve focused on building a balanced team that can adapt quickly to the tempo of the Abu Dhabi T10 format. The players’ commitment and clarity of roles will be key as we look to make a strong impression in our first season.”

Team CEO Rajeshree Shete emphasized the franchise’s broader vision, stating,
“Our goal has been to create a team that embodies skill, determination, and unity. The atmosphere within the camp is electric, and we’re confident that Royal Champs will reflect our values through their performances as we embark on this exciting venture.”

With Shakib’s leadership at the helm and a cohesive roster ready to perform, the Royal Champs are primed to make a statement—bringing passion, purpose, and resilience to the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025.
