DUBAI  – The Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, has reaffirmed that overseas Pakistanis are a true national asset, praising their unwavering commitment to the country’s economic stability through formal remittance channels.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of Index Exchange’s new awareness campaign, “Ab Ki Baar — Roshan Pakistan Ki Bahaar,” held in Dubai, the Consul General emphasized that remittances sent via legal channels play a critical role in strengthening Pakistan’s economy and driving sustainable national development.

He further noted that the campaign not only recognizes the efforts of the Pakistani diaspora but also represents a positive step toward a brighter, self-reliant future — with a special focus on promoting green energy solutions.

A Vision for a Brighter, Self-Reliant Pakistan

Humayun Murad, Executive Director of Index Exchange, highlighted that the organization has always strived to offer innovative and efficient financial services while actively contributing to national progress.

Describing the “Roshan Pakistan” campaign as a forward-looking initiative, he said it is designed to achieve two key goals: encouraging higher remittance flows and promoting renewable energy adoption — particularly solar power — as a long-term solution to Pakistan’s persistent energy challenges.

Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor, added that such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening remittance inflows while simultaneously unlocking new avenues for investment and sustainable development. He stressed that green energy projects are essential for supporting Pakistan’s economic growth and tackling the energy sector’s structural issues.

Beyond Promotion — A Vision for Customer Empowerment

Syed Abdul Salam, Chief Operating Officer of Index Exchange, stated that the campaign goes far beyond a typical promotional effort. “It reflects a broader vision of empowering customers with financial convenience while guiding them toward a sustainable future,” he said.

He reiterated that solar energy has become an essential need of the time, adding, “Index Exchange is proud to be part of this transformation.”

Mir Ke Rasool, Chief Business Officer, offered an emotional perspective: “Every remittance carries a story of hard work, care, and responsibility. Through this campaign, these stories are being given a new dimension — where each transaction not only supports families but also contributes to energy independence through solar solutions.”

Raffle Draw to Reward Customers with Solar Panels

As part of the “Roshan Pakistan” campaign, customers sending money to Pakistan through Index Exchange will automatically be entered into a raffle draw, giving them a chance to install solar panels in their homes. The initiative aims to create a meaningful, lasting impact by directly linking individual contributions to national progress.

The launch event was attended by prominent members of the Pakistani community in Dubai, including Press Counsellor Saleh Muhammad, along with community leaders and distinguished guests.

Powerful Closing Message

The campaign concludes with a compelling and heartfelt message:

“Jo Dil Hai, Jo Hai Jaan — Aao Karein Roshan Pakistan”
(With all our heart and soul — let’s illuminate Pakistan)
