Abu Dhabi
South African batter Faf du Plessis has been in some good touch in the ongoing 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 tournament being played at Zayed Cricket Stadium. The right-handed batter who is playing for Morrisville Samp Army in the competition has already scored two fifties in four matches. Faf has expressed his opinion on the IPL auction dynamics and suggested that nothing is really guaranteed when it comes to the bidding process.
“You never know with IPL. I’ve played a lot of cricket in the IPL, and I know with auctions, nothing is guaranteed. I don’t even know what’s going on. I don’t think my name has come up yet. So let’s see. I mean, there’s a lot of batters already been picked up. So let’s see what happens,” du Plessis said.
The tournament has witnessed some exciting clashes and big scores already and the Proteas batter said that he won’t be surprised if the team score goes past 200-mark in the season.
“The game keeps surprising us. We saw some serious scores this year in T20 cricket with 260, 270, so anything is possible with the guys, the way that they play these days”.
