DUBAI – Vista Maritime Travel Tourism hosted a welcome dinner in honor of Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, at a ceremony attended by diplomatic officials and prominent members of the Pakistani community.
In his address, Ambassador Khan expressed sincere gratitude to the hosts for the warm reception and described the initiative as a valuable opportunity to engage with Pakistanis living in the UAE. He reaffirmed that Pakistan and the UAE share a deep-rooted, multi-layered bilateral relationship spanning more than five decades, built on mutual cooperation and shared interests.
Overseas Pakistanis: A Vital National Asset
Highlighting the critical role of the Pakistani diaspora, the Ambassador termed overseas Pakistanis as a vital national asset and acknowledged their invaluable contributions to both Pakistan and the UAE.
He particularly praised their responsible conduct and solidarity during recent challenging circumstances, noting that such actions reflect their strong sense of commitment and loyalty to their host country.
Tribute to UAE Leadership
Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan paid rich tribute to the visionary leadership of the UAE, acknowledging their wisdom and foresight in steering the nation toward continued stability, resilience, and prosperity for all residents.
Reaffirming the Mission’s commitment, he assured the community of the Embassy’s full support and facilitation, emphasizing that their welfare and well-being remain a foremost priority.
The Ambassador also conveyed special appreciation to Dr. Zafar Tahir Rizvi, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Fatima Khalid, and the management of Vista Maritime Travel Tourism for organizing the event.
Consul General Assures Full Support
Speaking on the occasion, Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, welcomed the Ambassador and assured him of the Consulate’s full support in further strengthening outreach to the Pakistani community and enhancing service delivery under his leadership.
The event was attended by officers of the Pakistan diplomatic mission in the UAE and a large number of members of the Pakistani community.
