RIYADH: In a bid to promote the Arabic language and enhance its teaching, the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language is set to kick off the Arabic Language Month in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The four-week event, spanning from January 2 to February 2, will feature a diverse program of activities in Jakarta and Malang, developed in collaboration with educational organizations.<\/p>\n
The initiative aims to elevate the status of the Arabic language by engaging with universities in Indonesia that have Arabic language departments and programs. Abdullah Al-Washmi, the secretary-general of the academy, emphasizes the commitment to promoting Arabic language education globally.<\/p>\n
The month-long program seeks to showcase the academy\u2019s language-teaching efforts to non-native speakers, underscore Saudi Arabia\u2019s contributions to Arabic, and enhance teaching standards for improved learning outcomes.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the collaborative spirit, the academy, in partnership with Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, will host an Arabic language competition featuring recitation, storytelling, and Arabic calligraphy. The month\u2019s activities include training courses for teachers and discussion panels focusing on active-learning strategies for teaching Arabic as a second language.<\/p>\n
