The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Qualifiers are currently being played in Zimbabwe.
Eight teams have qualified for the event through the Cricket World Cup Super League while the final two spots will be taken by the finalists of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
After Sri Lanka qualified for the mega event, the competition for the last spot in the Cricket World Cup is now between three teams which includes Zimbabwe, Scotland and the Netherlands. West Indies and Oman have already been knocked out the race.
Sri Lanka are currently at the top of the points table in the Super Six stage with eight points after four matches.
Zimbabwe are in second place with six points after four matches, meanwhile Scotland have four points after three games. The Netherland have four points in as many matches.
West Indies and Oman have zero points after three and four matches, respectively.
Qualification scenarios
For Zimbabwe, it’s a must-win game today against Scotland. If they lose, they are out of the mega event. If Zimbabwe win, they will qualify for the mega event.
For Scotland, they need to win today and then beat Netherlands or don’t lose by a big margin.
For Netherlands, they want Scotland to win today against Zimbabwe and then beat them by a good margin.

10 teams will fight for the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.
The tournament will be played in the round-robin format with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches.
The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. The semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.
