PESHAWAR: In account of encouraging the female to the sports, a four-day female umpire’s induction course would begin from Saturday (Tomorrow) at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
As per the criteria with a minimum of intermediate education, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) received scores of applications from the desired applicants in December 2023. The criteria also mentioned the age bracket between 28 to 40 years, however excluding international players to explore the new faces and talent.
Induction Course for Female Umpires
Leading international umpire from ICC’s Elite panel, Ahsan Raza and International Umpire Asif Yaqoob would perform as the key instructors during the course. Initially, the candidates would need to undergo a three-day basic training course followed by a written test of the fourth day along with fitness test and follow up interviews.
The Successful candidates would become part of the PCB Female Panel of Umpires for the next domestic cricket season and would allow them to perform as official female umpires at the Region, District and Club level contest.
