The International Cricket Council (ICC) will unveil the official anthem of the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup tomorrow, September 20, at 11:30am (PST). The anthem, titled “Dil Jashn Bole,” will feature Indian actor Ranveer Singh.
“The greatest cricketing Jashn is almost here, 12pm IST tomorrow! #CWC23”, wrote ICC while sharing the poster of the anthem on “X”, previously known as Twitter.
The music of the anthem has been composed by the celebrated Indian composer and musician, Pritam Chakraborty.
In a separate development, the World Cup warm-up match between Pakistan and New Zealand, scheduled for September 29, will be played without spectators at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad due to concerns over security arrangements and the impact of ongoing festivals.
The decision comes as the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) struggled to provide adequate security amidst the Ganesh Visarjan and Milan-Un-Nabi festivals, both culminating on September 28.
