Lahore:Former captain of Pakistan team Shoaib Malik blamed Babar Azam for the defeat against Afghanistan in the World Cup 2023.

Speaking on a private TV show, former captains Wasim Akram, Shoaib Malik, and Misbah-ul-Haq expressed their displeasure over Pakistan’s defeat to Afghanistan.

Shoaib Malik said Babar is a good batsman but not a good captain. Former cricketer Moeen Khan also supported the statement of Shoaib Malik and said that Babar led the Pakistan team in major events for four years but there was no improvement in his captaincy.

He said a captain needed to learn things with time.

Wasim Akram said that not a single person is responsible for the defeat but everyone including the chairman cricket board, coaches, chief selectors, directors,s and captains.

“Fitness test has not been done for last two years,” Wasim Akram is angry about the fitness of the players.
